VESTRY MEETING
The meeting opened with a prayer. Minutes of the last meetings
were approved and signed.
ELECTION OF CHURCH WARDENS
Don and Derys were proposed, seconded and duly elected as
Church Wardens for a further year. We all give them a big
pat on the back for their support and hard work during the
year.
PCC MEETING
Present and apologies as above.
MATTERS ARISING
Don will liase with Viv Leach, Church Warden of Sarnesfield
as to the cost of their insurances. Ours seems to be rather
high still. We will change all the accounts into the Church
central Board of Finance, accounts I . 2,3 and 4? in order
to receive more interest. We have purchased a large Party
Gazebo as discussed last year at a cost £67.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Full copy of accounts in the file with the minutes. Big
news is that we have worked very hard and we have finished
the year with a profit £l,453.49. Well done us! Accounts
to be moved into central Board of Finance as above. Proposed
Jill, seconded Tracey accepted unan.
GIFT AID
Gordon reported a £206.80 tax refund on the year April to
March. This comes from casual giving of £183.00 and planned
giving £550.00, total £733.00 income.
CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
Bob said it has been an interesting year, Letton Church
are 'magical' in their inventiveness with fund raising and
he again said how much he loved the Church building. We
are all missing Neil but hope to have another curate in
place by July 2006 - so don't hold our breath for a while!
It will be another trainee and we should be able to have
him/her for 3 maybe 4 years. The loss of our dear Noell
was very sad and she will very much missed. Her tremendous
support of the church was without question.
Bob thanked Stephen for all his hard work with the Pilgrim
and the websites which he has set up. Please will everyone
look at the new sites for Weobley and Monnington. Susan
Verwey leaves us in May to go to Burghill as curate to finish
her training. We will, of course, still see her around but
not in our churches. Her ordination will take place in the
Cathedral on July 3rd and it is suggested that we use that
as our first service in July. Details to follow. We hope
that Susan will take one of our services in May when we
can say goodbye to her. Perhaps a cake and sherry afterwards?
To help Bob with his rota it is suggested that we swap the
services round at Letton and have the communion service
as the first service and morning prayer at the second in
the month. (Or is it the other way round?) You will soon
find out!
ELECTORAL ROLL
There are l8 on the Electoral Roll for 2005 and the PCC
were elected en-masse as usual.

Gordon and Jill were thanked for their gifts of an Advent

on the occasion of their Golden Wedding October 9 2004.
We are looking into some fund raisers for the late spring
and summer. Bromyard Wind Band has been suggested. Jill
to enquire. Stuart Brain and Steve Gilling are going to
put on an hours show (date to advised) when they will demonstrate
how to make music with the most unlikely objects - ie. teapots,
watering cans. garden hoses etc. Maybe a cheese and pickle
supper at £5 per head with a bar of course. Jill and Derys
- and anyone else who cares to join in - will take all the
left-over jumble to a car boot sale when the weather picks
up and try and get rid of it before the Sunday Teas start.
Don and Jill will meet up to fill in a church Terrier (list
of church furniture etc) for insurance purposes. Joan Saviger's
ashes will be being buried in the churchyard during the
w/c 25 April.
