Dear Friends
During May Pat & I visited St Ninian's Cave near Whithorn
in South West Scotland.
St Ninian died in Whithorn in 413 AD and was very influencial
in the bringing of Christianity to that part of the world.
The walk to the cave took us through woods and then down
on to a very stony beach for about a quarter of a mile. As
we walked along there were many other people heading along
the same route either visiting or returning to the cave.
I was struck by the variety of the people around me. They
were all shapes and sizes, dressed in different ways and a
wide variety of ages. I was delighted to see this because
it reminded me of Christ's love being for all people, not
just those and such as those, but everyone. It is easy to
think that we or someone else are beyond the pale but to God
we are the people he created us to be and we are all different.
Our response to His love is individual and collective. When
we consider where someone else is up to the mark we must also
remember that they may be thinking the same about us.
The sign to St Ninian's Cave just said "This Way" there were
no other restrictions.
With my love
