May 2008
Dear Friends
May is a lovely month of the year full od new life
and promise. Wherever we look there is new growth and
blossom bursting forth and often the weather takes a
turn for the better as well.
Another use of the word "May" id a form of introduction
to something new: - "May I help you?", "May I visit
you?", "May we join you?", "May the force be with you"
and of course, "May God Bless you"
All of these statements and questions reflect a new
beginning of a relationship or an adventure.
During May this year we also celebrate the Ascension
of Jesus up into heaven (Thursday May 1st 7.30pm Eucharist
at Weobley Church) and that signalled the beginning
of the disciple's ministry and subsequently our ministry
to each other here on earth.
May is the month for new beginnings and I hope that
during this month you will feel called to respond to
God's calling and presence in your lives. It can be
challenging, there is no doubt about that, as every
farmer knows the new shoots appearing are signs of a
harvest ahead and that is hard work. However the hard
work and nurture pays off when the harvest is gathered
in and the results shared.
May I finish with a blessing?
May the blessing of our loving and caring God be with
you all this May and forever more
Amen
With my love and prayers
