    Rogation Walk -Delicious hog roast -Veggie options  – salads –  puds – Petanques – Viking Chess.

12 Noon: Park in the field opposite green lane to the church and meet at Monnington Church at 12.15. The full walk is about 2.5 miles over roughish ground. We will take it fairly slowly with occasional Rogating stops. Dogs on leads are welcome. We will walk via The Scar and end up at River Lodge in Monnington. If you’d rather a shorter walk then meet at the Scar at 12.45. Lifts available to the Scar – come to Monnington Church at 12 if you’d like a lift. If you don’t fancy the walk then just join us at River Lodge (Rob and Tor’s house) at 1.30. To get to River Lodge go down Monnington Walk and follow the tarmacked road when it bends left half way down the walk. Continue on that track until you get to River Lodge. Parking available. Suggested donation: £10 per adult or £30 for a family. Proceeds go to Monnington Church. Weobley and Kington Deanery Prayer Week 23rd – 28th 

The Deanery are  holding prayer weeks at all the 27 parishes throughout the Deanery this year. Weobley’s turn is Monday 23rd May until Saturday 28th May included, 10 to 11 am to lead prayers for the Deanery, the churches with any special prayer requests, and of course the wider concern for our troubled world. Everyone is welcome to attend any of the days and we hope members of the congregation will support those who have offered to lead a session. Funding our churches Meeting – 30th May 7pm
A special Benefice-wide meeting on the topic of funding our churches will be hosted by the Joint Benefice Council on the evening of 30th May, 7pm, at Weobley Church. All PCC members and interested parishioners from across the seven churches are invited to attend. The guest speaker is Rosa Speyer, Diocesan Giving Advisor. We will be hearing about different ideas for increasing giving opportunities and financial support for our churches. There will also be an opportunity to meet our new Benefice Finance Manager, Shirley Tully.

Supporting Ukrainian refugees locally

A local fund has been opened for the support of Ukrainian families in this cluster and donations can be sent to Elizabeth Shayler or Guy Wilkinson. The fund is charitable, and donations attract Gift Aid. All donations and the use of the funds will be strictly accounted for.
