Following the lovely Harvest Festival Service at St Mary Staunton-on-Wye, earlier in September, here are the dates and times for the rest of the Harvest services this year.
Letton: 16 September at 11:00 – followed by a light lunch
Monnington-on-Wye: 23 September at 15:30
Weobley 30 September at 10:30
Norton Canon: 19 October at 19:00
Sarnesfield 21 October at 11:00 – followed by a light lunch
Byford 25 November at 18:00 – followed by refreshments
Part of the collections taken at these services will be given to Borderlands Rural Chaplains https://borderchaplain.org/. Operating through the Hereford Diocese and the Shropshire and Marches Methodist Circuit, Borderlands Rural Chaplains work in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Eastern Powys. They are a confidential, listening ear offering pastoral support to farmers, farming families and agricultural communities, and Forage Aid forageaid.org.uk. Forage Aid is the charity that supports farmers whose livestock has been affected by an extreme weather event by providing forage and/or bedding to those in need.
