The Parochial Church Council of St Mary, Staunton-on-Wye adopted the following resolution at its meeting on 14 May 2018.
“We believe in Inclusive Church – church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, ethnicity, race, marital status or sexuality. We believe in Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which chooses to interpret scripture inclusively; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.”

For those who didn’t come last year, Holy Trinity choir is one of the best in the county and are a real treat to hear.

Today’s the day!
Roll up, Roll up for all the fun of the Weobley Village Fete! 2pm on the Castle Green. See you there!
At 2pm on June 16th the much valued and respected husband and wife doctors Oliver and Rachel Penney will open the Weobley Village Fete.
Having been practising in Weobley for 27 years they have built on the wonderful reputation the surgery had for excellence and ‘going the extra mile’. The Weobley surgery under their watch is recognised as being one of the best in the county.
Oliver and Rachel will be greatly missed in Weobley but are going to Uganda where their care and experience will be hugely beneficial and very much appreciated.
Everyone is very welcome to come along and enjoy a moment or two at St Mary’s where you can view floral decoration and sample delicious homemade cakes, while catching up with ‘old friends’. And while you’re there, you can discover something new about the church of St Mary, the parish of Sarnesfield, with vintage agricultural and memorial displays both in and outside the church.
